F.A.Q.

WHAT TIME?
We have Sunday School for all ages starting at 9:30am. Worship Service starts at 10:32am

WHAT DO I WEAR?
Dress comfortably. There is no dress code here. You will see people dressed in many ways, most dress casually and some wear suits. Jeans are fine.

HOW LONG?
Services are not very long. The preaching is Bible based, and relevant to everyday life.

WILL I STAND OUT?
We know that coming to a new church can be intimidating and a little scary at times. But let us put your mind at ease. RELAX, we are folks just like you, so just be yourself. You won’t feel uncomfortable, you won’t be judged or feel any undue pressure.

DO I HAVE TO GIVE ANYTHING?
While it is true that money helps us accomplish what we are here to do…as our guest it is not your responsibility to give. You just sit back, relax and enjoy what is going on.

WHERE DO I ENTER THE BUILDING?
The easiest is to enter through the doors under the cover. From there you will be greeted and welcomed in warmly.

WHAT ABOUT MY KIDS?
We have programs for ages newborn to 4th grade. If your child is in the nursery someone can help you find where to take them. If you have children between 4 years old and the 4th grade, they will stay with you in the auditorium until after communion, then go to Childrens Church for an age appropriate lesson. If your child is outgoing, tell them to follow the crowd, if you feel better escorting them to the back that is fine as well. If you want to stay and observe, you are welcome to.

What To Expect

At Antioch Christian Church, we believe that worshiping Jesus occurs through praise, prayer, the hearing of His Word, communion, and fellowship with other believers. We strive to connect all of these aspects of worship in our Sunday services.

Praise
“For God is the King of the earth; sing to Him a song of praise.”
Psalm 47:7

Singing God’s praises is a vital part of the worship at Antioch. We sing hymns many of us grew up with as well as new songs that touch the heart of what it is to worship God

Prayer
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”
Philippians 4:6

A key part of the Christian life is prayer. A prayerful life is a life that will be blessed by God with hope and peace. This is not only true individually, but also in a church family.

God’s Word
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
II Timothy 3:16-17

The Bible is God’s Word to us. It was written by human authors, under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and living. Because it is inspired by God, it is the truth without any mixture or error.

Communion
“For whenever you eat this bread or drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until He comes.”
1 Corinthians 4:26

The Lord’s Supper is a simple act that serves as a reminder of the sacrifice made on our behalf. We celebrate the Lord’s supper each week when we gather for worship

Fellowship
“For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them.”
Matthew 18:20

We believe that as Christians, we are to do “life” together. Fellowship is about more than a dinner once a month

The Resurrection on Trial; Eyewitness Testimony
Since the day the tomb was discovered to be empty, there has been a concerted effort to discredit the Resurrection of Jesus. Today, we put the Resurrection of Jesus "on trial", by examining the testimony of those who doubt it, and whether or not they stand up to scrutiny.

    The Final Week; TETELASTIA
The first Easter weekend was far different than Easter weekends we experience today. On Friday, He was hung on the cross, and the sins of the world were laid on His body. But, Sunday was coming, and on the greatest day in human history, the tomb was found empty, and the Son of God was Risen!

    The Final Week; T.G.F.G.F.
On Friday of His final week, Jesus was placed upon the cross to die. It was to be the day the Son of God died. But once again, we see God turning the things of the world upside down. What seemed like a dark day, is one that we look upon and call it Good Friday. But why?

    The Final Week; Sharp Contrast
During His final week, it became more and more apparent that Jesus' message stood in stark contrast to the religious leaders of the day, and the world in general. On Thursday, we see those areas of sharp contrast played out in living color.

The Final Week; Be Fruitful & Be Ready
On Monday & Tuesday of His final week, Jesus and His disciples were back in Jerusalem and the Temple. But why was Jesus so upset about what He saw in the Temple? And what did it have to do with the fig tree?

The Final Week; A Parade Fit For A King
As Jesus and His disciples descended the Mount of Olives into Jerusalem, a huge crowd gathered. But not everyone was there for the same reason. The question we must answer is; If I were there that day, what would my attitude have been?
